Submit an Article or Photo for Consideration

Focus Magazine (FM) welcomes submissions of articles for publication in print and/or online at gofocusmag.com. Submissions must be exclusive to FM and can be of any length, though they are more likely to be accepted if they are not longer than 750 words or so. We do not consider articles sent to other publications or posted online, including on a personal blog, nor do we consider anonymous or pseudonymous submissions.  We consider only completed articles and do not provide guidance on ideas or proposals. 

Countless factors affect whether an article is suitable for publication in Focus Magazine, including space constraints, timeliness and relevance. Articles must be thought to be of general interest to the readers of FM.  Articles must be celebratory, and positively portray the subject matter befitting to Focus Magazine's motto of being "The Most Positive Voice in the Panhandle."  This said, articles should be "Texas Panhandle" related, like an upcoming event, notable person or group, talented artist or musician, historical account or otherwise offering a unique insight to Top O' Texas life and values!  Please be prepared to share photos (high resolution) or any other available graphic assets to support the article. FM needs to have proper rights or permissions to use any photos or graphics.

You need not possess any special expertise to have your article considered for publication, though if you do, please elaborate.  We do our best to read all submissions promptly and will contact you within a few days if we are interested in publishing your article. If you do not hear from us in a week or two, reach back out.  Use of any submission is at the sole discretion of the owners and publishers of Focus Magazine.  By submission, you are giving all publishing rights to Focus Magazine. Focus Magazine reserves the rights to edit article for spelling, grammar and clarification of content.
